Oh Samuel!

I'm posting this picture so:

1. Those of you who don't have a 2-year old yet will know how to prepare themselves and what they are in for

2. For those of you whose kids are older and have outgrown tantrums...consider this a walk down memory lane

3. For those of you who have a 2-year old, so you know you aren't the only one dealing with tantrums

Samuel is a pretty good kid...but the terrible twos and the tantrums that define it are definitely popping up more and more, and the reason for the tantrums are usually without warning and for no reason!

Ah, a few nights ago it was bath time.  Samuel loves bath time!  Sometimes he's in the bath for 45-minutes, sometimes we do 2 baths a day!  So you can imagine my surprise when a full on meltdown occurred because...He didn't want to take his clothes off for the bath!

His solution: To get in the bath naked, but while still holding the clothes...yep!  They were going in the laundry anyway, but it was still humorous/frustrating/a deep breathe all at the same time! Oh Samuel!  You and your independence!   We definitely encourage his decision making (as long as it's safe), but sometimes it can lead to us counting the minutes to bed time!!!

And just FYI, about 45 seconds after I took this picture, he calmly handed me the clothes and played happily in the bath for the next twenty minutes!  Go figure!
