I think most of my readers know that we had to make an unexpected trip to North Carolina this month when my mother had complications from a surgery. It was a really scary time for us! (made a little bit easier by our wonderful friends and family who overwhelmed us with love, prayers, and support! Thank you!!!)
I am so thankful that Eric's employer is so flexible, and allowed him to take the week off so we could get to North Carolina! Eric spent the whole week watching Samuel, while we were at the hospital with mom.
We stayed with my sister, and Samuel had a blast! Of course, she doesn't have kids (yet)...so her house isn't overly child friendly, so Eric spent the week teaching Samuel how to be gentle! She had a pretty candle on her table, and Eric taught Samuel to smell it, not touch it! Apparently, Eric trained Ricky too :0)
Samuel also loved my sister's Christmas tree! So many pretty ornaments!!! He undecorated and redecorated her tree for her at least a dozen times! How thoughtful is he???
We tried to keep things as normal as possible for Samuel, so one evening we took him to the local mall to play in the kids area and to run around! He had a BLAST!
Chris and Isaac's beloved boxer, Romo!
Samuel loved playing jeep with Romo!
The boys checking out You Tube during a lunch break!
Samuel kept himself busy with coloring and drawing!
Thankfully, my mom has improved immensely. She is home and resting! We see huge improvements each day! It truly is a Christmas miracle for our family!
