Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss!!!

We love Dr. Seuss's birthday! We spent the day reading Dr. Seuss books (yes, yes the Foot Book a million times), but I even convinced Samuel to read Hop on Pop and There's A Wocket in my Pocket!!! Dr. Seuss is one of our favorite authors and Samuel LOVES to sit and listen to his books! Green Eggs and Ham is one of Eric's favorites and I love Thidwick the Moose, but both of those books are a bit long for Samuel now.

Picking out library books to read!

I was really excited to see that an online website, Zulily was offering Dr. Seuss Pajama's as their deal of the day! We got Samuel "Sam I am" pajama's in 3 different sizes (Thanks Melanie for the heads up on that one!!!)

Samuel picked out 8 books to look at!!!

We also attended our local library's Dr. Seuss celebration! It is always a lot of fun, and this year was no exception! Free books, free cookies, the Cat in the Hat, other kids, and lots of stories being read! We got the book Chicka Chicka Boom Boom this year, and Samuel LOVES it!

Now that Samuel is Mr. Independent, he spent most of the celebration running around looking at books and playing instead of listening! It was a lot of fun, and we came home with one tired little boy (and a tired mommy and daddy!).
