Eric and Samuel planned a great Mother's Day weekend (though, I'm pretty sure most of the planning was done by Samuel). On Friday, after Samuel's 18-month well check, we spent the morning at the local park. We took a loaf of bread to the duck pond and fed the "ducks" and fish.
We were a little bit surprised by the duck pond, mainly because there were only 2 ducks in the pond and they were really strange looking and LOUD. Samuel wasn't too impressed by them, and he really didn't want to feed them. But he thought it was HILARIOUS to watch Eric feed the ducks and fish.
Afterwards we went on a trail hike. Poor Eric got stuck lugging Samuel on the hike since Samuel wasn't in the mood for hiking! It was a beautiful trail and the perfect weather for a hike!
After that, we had a nice day of going out for lunch and shopping :0)
Then for Mother's Day, I was showered with hugs from Samuel all day long...but that isn't necessarily anything new since he's a hugger! But after opening cards, being taken out to lunch at my favorite restaurant, a nice little outfit from my parents, a nice long afternoon walk, I was surprised with a pan of Eric's famous peanut butter fudge! It was delicious (and made with Goat's milk so Samuel could enjoy it too!).
It was a great way to spend a day celebrating my favorite thing...being a momma!
Eric said: Who has the best mommy in the world? And Samuel raised his hand :0)
